CONSTRUCTION INSTRUCTION OF VR300 COATING SYSTEM

   1. Requirements:
1.1. Labor protection

– Workers are required to use all the necessary personal protective equipments including shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats and work clothing.

 

 

1.2. Humidity
– Humidity level of concrete floor must not be higher than 5%.

– Humidity of air must not exceed 80%.

– Construction site requires good ventilation.

 

   2. Mix materials:
2.1. Mix the PrimeSEAL VP100 primer.
– Consist of 2 components: PrimeSEAL VP100 and  ACTIVATOR.
– Mixing ratio: The ACTIVATOR’s mixing ratio depends on the humidity and temperature in the area being constructed.
– The ratio of ACTIVATOR ranges from 1.5 – 2% of the amount of mixture to be used.
– The mixture is mixed by a slow speed stirrer with suitable paddle.
– Because the material hardens quickly, the mixture of material needs to be constructed in a short time, avoiding wasting too much material.
2.2. Mix the KeraGUARD VR300.
– Consist of 2 components: KeraGUARD VR300 and ACTIVATOR.

– Mixing ratio: The ACTIVATOR’s mixing ratio depends on the humidity and temperature in the area being constructed.
– The ratio of ACTIVATOR ranges from 1.5 – 2% of the amount of mixture to be used.
– The mixture is mixed by a slow speed stirrer with suitable paddle.

   3. Steps of constructing.
3.1. Hygiene and surface treatment

–  Ensure the surface is free of dust, dirt and grease.
– Remove the adhesive materials on the surface of the areas that need  repairing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.2. Apply the PrimeSEAL VP100 primer.
– Use a long-haired roller to spread PrimeSEAL VP100 mixture on the surface.

– Apply roller in turns to ensure uniform coverage of the layer .

– Do not apply too thick primer that will cause cracking and blistering of the surface.

– Let dry for 4 hours before patching, surface treatment or the subsequent construction.

– After primer has dried, The surface cracks, cracks should be filled with chemical resistant sealant (Keraguard VR300 and Vr Powder).

3.3 Apply the Basecoat.
– Based on the specific requirements of each system in terms of number of coatings, MAT 300g mesh layer (MAT 450g), TISSUE fine mesh or thickness to have a plan on the number of overlays for this stage.

– Applying a layer of material mixture (Keraguard VR300 and Vr Powder) on the surface to be constructed.

– The mesh layers are pressed tightly to the surface of the layer with KeraGUARD VR300 glue, MAT layers of mesh are pre-applied, the smooth tissue layer of Tissue is on the top.

– Note: The mesh layers are pressed tightly on the surface as soon as the previous layers have not yet hardened.

– Let dry for at least 8 hours before proceeding with the next steps.

3.4 Apply the final coat KeraGUARD VR300.
– After the Basecoat layer is completely dry, it is necessary to check and fix the surface backlog errors such as openings, gas problems inside the coating …

– Eliminate surface impurities.

– Spread the mixture of KeraGUARD VR300 on the area to be constructed with a short-hair roller.

– Apply roller in many turns and in two perpendicular directions, ensuring uniform coverage of the layer .

– Can be applied multiple layers to ensure complete coverage of the material layer.

– Allow to dry for at least 24h before operating gently above and 72 hours when using.
