What is KERASEAL ADO20 paint?
KERASEAL ADO20 is a 2-component solvent-based epoxy floor coating system, finished surface has no circuit and general chemical resistance.

Application process and notes of KERASEAL ADO20

KERASEAL ADO20 has simple construction process. Includes the following 6 steps:

Step 1: Surface preparation

• Conditions of concrete floor to use KERASEAL ADO20 solvent-based epoxy paint is smooth surface, humidity

• Then, use a rubbing machine to smooth the concrete floor and use a vacuum cleaner to remove residual dirt on the floor.

Step 2: Apply the primer

Primer product used before applying KERASEAL ADO20 is KERASEAL PS60. This is a solvent-based epoxy primer. They will increase the adhesion between the concrete and the next coatings. Therefore, the constructor must perform this step before applying the topcoat.

The primer is rolled as thin as possible. Consumption is from 0.1 - 0.2 kg / 1m2. After at least 1 day, the primer dries; the constructor can light traffic and patch the surface.


Step 3: Patching surface

The surface patching product used is KERACRETE NS50. This is a non-sagging 2 component epoxy system. It is an ideal product to be used in a variety of mortars, patching, repairing pitting areas. Surface drying time is 3 hours 30 minutes. The average consumption is 1.5kg / m2 applied with a thickness of 1 mm2.

Step 4: Applying the basecoat

Because this is coating paint line, the constructor needs to use a short hair roller. Consumption for a coat with a standard surface is 75µm: 0.10kg / m2

Step 5: Patching and sanding surface

Patching second time is a necessary step, in order to remove remaining pitting on the surface after the primer is applied. Then, the constructor needs to use the sanding machine to create the adhesive for the final coating.

Step 6: Apply the topcoat

Minimum time to apply next coat is 12 hours. So after the basecoat is applied, the concrete floor needs at least 1 day to dry and apply the topcoat. After 72 hours of construction, the concrete floor can be put into use.
