1. Requirements:
1.1. Requirements for labor protection work. |
– During application, workers must wear full labor protection (hat, clothes, shoes, glasses, mask, and gloves).
|
1.2. Requirement for moisture |
– Substrate moisture content < 6%. – Maximum relative air humidity 85%. – Min. substrate temperature 13ºC. – Max. substrate temperature 39ºC. – Construction areas require good ventilation.
|
2.1. Mixing KERASEAL PS60. |
– Material includes composition A and composition B. – Using specialized mixer, approx. 600 rpm with a suitable mixing paddle. – Add the composition B to the composition A and mix a further 3 minutes until homogenous (may take a longer depending on weather conditions and equipment).
|
2.2. Mixing other materials |
– Material includes 2 components: Composition A and Composition B. – Using specialized mixer to mix the composition A within 3 minutes (may take a longer depending on weather conditions and equipment). – Add the composition B to the composition A mix a further 3 minutes until homogenous.
|
3. Application steps - thickness 2mm.
3.1. Surface cleaning and treatment |
– The surface ensures no dust, dirt, oil. – Surface is grinded by large capacity machine with suitable sharpening blade or Short Blasting.
|
3.2. Applying KERASEAL PS60 |
– Using long-hair roller to spread KERASEAL PS60 on the cleaned surface. – Applying by roller frequently ensuring uniform coverage of the material to be applied to the surface. – Do not apply primer too thick or to create puddles will cause cracking and blistering. – Allow to dry 8 hours before patching, surface treatment or apply the next steps. – The cracks on the surface must be filled with KERACRETE NS50.
|
3.3. Applying the insulating primer KERASEAL PS20 |
– Spread KERASEAL PS20 on the area to be applied with a specialized brush, finish the surface with serrated brush and spiked roller. – When finishing the application, make sure that the basecoat completely cover the below primer and the color is relatively uniform. – Allow to dry at least 8 hours before apply the next steps.
|
3.4. Applying the copper tape and grounding system |
– The copper tape is put on the KERASEAL PS20 surface and is connected to the standard grounding system. – Contact APT directly for technical assistance.
|
3.5. Applying the insulating primer KERASEAL PSC |
– Depending on the required reactance to apply KERASEAL PSC. – Spread the mixture on the surface by short-hair roller. Apply by roller several times to ensure the material is homogeneous. – Allow to dry at least 8 hours before apply the next steps.
|
3.6. Applying the topcoat KERACOTE ESP300 |
– Depending on the required reactance to choose the suitable materials. – After PSC completely dries, remove impurities, excess materials on the surface by mechanical preparation. – Spread KERACOTE ESP300 on the area to be applied with a specialized brush, finish the surface with serrated brush and spiked roller. – Apply by spiked roller several times on the surface while the topcoat still wet to remove foam. – The topcoat must ensure the coverage, the uniformity in gloss and color. – Allow to dry at least 24 hours before light traffic and 72 hours before using.
