1. Requirements:
1.1. Requirements for labor protection work |
– During application, workers must wear full labor protection (hat, clothes, shoes, glasses, mask, and gloves).
|
1.2. Requirement for moisture |
– Substrate moisture content < 15%. – Maximum relative air humidity 80%. – Do not apply in condition of excessive wind at the construction site. – Limit the construction when the dew may arise or late afternoon.
|
2. Mixing:
2.1. Mixing Primer COOL COAT |
– Using specialized mixer, approx. 300 rpm with a suitable mixing paddle. – Mixing the material for a minimum of 2 minutes (may take a longer depending on weather conditions and equipment) to make the material is homogeneous throughout the container.
|
2.2. Mixing KERA COOL COAT |
– Using specialized mixer, approx. 300 rpm with a suitable mixing paddle. – Mixing the material for a minimum of 2 minutes (may take a longer depending on weather conditions and equipment) to make the material is homogeneous throughout the container.
|
3. Application steps - 1 primer and 2 coatings system
3.1. Surface cleaning and treatment |
– For wall or concrete surface, weak mortar layer and impurities on the surface must be removed. – The wall surface is rubbed with sandpaper to remove weakly adhesive sand. – The concrete surface needs to be roughened with a specialized machine before applying coating. – For metal surface, it should be cleaned with water; rusted positions should be treated by mechanical preparation before coating.
|
3.2. Applying primer COOL COAT |
– Using a specialized airless spray to apply primer to achieve the highest efficiency. – The primer after application must ensure complete coverage of the surface to ensure the best advantages of material. – Allow to dry 8 hours before patching, surface treatment or applying coatings.
|
3.3. Applying KERA COOL COAT |
– After the primer completely dries, applying KERA COOL COAT immediately. – Using airless spray with suitable nozzle to achieve the best effect on heat resistant advantage of material. – Spray the material on the surface to be applied with the amount of consumption as required. – Surface after spraying must ensure the coverage and smooth of the material. – Spray KERA COOL COAT into 2 coats, each coating is spaced at least 8 hours. – 2 coats should be applied in 2 perpendicular directions, ensure the uniform of paint membrane and coverage of material. – Allow to dry at least 24 hours before light traffic and 72 hours before using.
|
3.4. Notes during application |
– Airless spray should be used to achieve the best effect. For application by spray a single line piston pump with a 20:1 ratio may be required, using a 0.015 inch tungsten nozzle tip. Spray 2 times in 2 perpendicular directions to help paint membrane has no pinholes.
