Moisture Barrier Underlayment for Resin Based Flooring System KERACRETE MB50
1. Requirements:
1.1. Requirements for labor protection work.
– During application, workers must wear full labor protection (hat, clothes, shoes, glasses, mask, and gloves).
1.2. Requirement for moisture
– Substrate moisture content < 10%. – Maximum relative air humidity 85%. – Min. substrate temperature 20ºC. – Max. substrate temperature 40ºC. – Construction areas require good ventilation.
2. Mixing:
2.1. Mixing
– Using specialized mixer, approx. 600 rpm with a suitable mixing paddle. – Mixing KERASEAL WB50: Add the composition B to the composition A and mix a further 3 minutes until homogenous (may take a longer depending on weather conditions and equipment).
2.2. Mixing KERACRETE MB50
– KERACRETE MB50 includes 3 components A, B and C. First mix the Part A and B for 1 – 2 minutes. Add the Part C to the mixture of A & B and mix a further 2 – 3 minutes until homogeneous. To achieve the highest ductility, makesure the mixing paddles is always towards to the bottom and sides of the mixing barrel. Notes during mixing Material after mixing is homogeneous, no clumps and deposits.
3. Application steps
3.1. Surface preparation
– Surface is clean without impurities. – Remove weak adhesion on the surface. – Surface is grinded by specialized machine with suitable sharpening blade or Short Blasting. – The cracks and pitting positions are handled with specialized sealant.
3.2 Applying KERASEAL WB50
– Using long-hair roller to spread KERASEAL WB50 on the cleaned surface. – Applying by roller frequently ensuring uniform coverage of the material to be applied to the surface. – Do not apply primer too thick or to create puddles will cause cracking and blistering. – After 30 minutes, apply immediately KERACRETE MB50 on the primer surface when it is still wet.
