– During application, workers must wear full labor protection (hat, clothes, shoes, glasses, mask, and gloves).
1.2. Requirement for moisture
– Substrate moisture content < 6%. – Maximum relative air humidity 85%. – Min. substrate temperature 13ºC. – Max. substrate temperature 39ºC. – Construction areas require good ventilation.
2. Mixing:
2.1. Mixing KERASEAL PS60
– Material includes composition A and composition B. – Using specialized mixer, approx. 600 rpm with a suitable mixing paddle. – Add the composition B to the composition A and mix a further 3 minutes until homogenous (may take a longer depending on weather conditions and equipment).
2.2. Mixing KERACRETE NS50
– Material includes composition A and composition B. – Mixing 2 compositions together in the ratio (1:1) until the mixture is homogeneous. – Because of fast curing, do not mix too much ingredients at once time. Construction time does not exceed 10 minutes.
3. Application steps
3.1.Surface cleaning and treatment
– The surface ensures no dust, dirt, oil and other impurities. – Remove weak adhesion on the surface to be patched and repaired.
3.2. Applying KERASEAL PS60
– All positions applied KERACRETE NS50 must be primed with KERASEAL PS60 (PS50) first to increase adhesion between material and concrete surface. – Do not apply primer too thick or to create puddles will cause cracking and blistering. – Allow to dry 8 hours before applying patch sealant on top.
3.3. Applying KERACRETE NS50
– Use a steel trowel or putty to fill the material in the position to be applied. It can be filled several layers for maximum effect. – Allow the sealant complete dries before applying the next sealant or topcoat.
3.4. Notes during application
– Because the curing time of the material is very fast, it is recommended to note that the mixing volume should be applied in a short time to avoid waste. – Allow to dry at least 8 hours before applying the next steps.
